Job & Company Description:
Managing project profitability on high value projects by ensuring that the actual and committed costs are within budget, analysing and reporting high risk projects to management
Facilitating project milestone billing according to the percentage of costs booked into the project as per IFRS standards
Preparing project reconciliations and identifying variances between the actual and budgeted costs, communicating and working with project managers to mitigate the loss identified
Driving the monthly IFRS costs forecast exercise nationally in order to determine whether the business gross profit targets will be reached, putting in place recovery measures in case of shortfalls and communicating progress to the business throughout the month
Preparing and capturing journals for costs transfer between projects, analysing and approving sub-contractors invoices for completed work
Closing completed projects from a financial perspective by booking or deleting committed costs and reversing excess stock back to stores
Setting monthly national billing targets and tracking progress weekly and communicating progress to the business
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Bcom degree in financial services or risk.
3-5 years within the commercial market.
Project management skills would be beneficial.
