Qualified Cake Artist needed urgently: Salary R15 000 to R25 000 per month

Dessert leading company seeks a qualified Cake Artist to join their Durban team Mastering cake decorating techniques/baking.

· Executing NPD from concept to launch according to the supplied brief in a factory environment.

· Liaison with the Marketing Department in respect of concepts, packaging and the process of new product development.

· Compiling and checking ingredient lists, packaging information and specifications.

REQUIREMENTS:

A diploma or equivalent (or higher will be advantageous) in pastry/cake decorating specialising in fondant icing/novelty cakes/chocolate work.

· The candidate should have at least six years’ experience in cake decorating outside a domestic environment.

· The applicant must have proven skills and a portfolio of achievements and capabilities in the baking/cake decorating field.

· Experience in managing own projects.

· Only candidates who do not smoke will be considered (this includes non-tobacco products and vaping) as this will impair sensory ability during tasting.
