Purpose of the position To capture incoming clinical data on clients rendered service from the mobile team and outreach team; Maintain electronic database for data submitted; Check data completeness, consistency and data verification by liaising with relevant staff. (This is a contract position renewable based on funding).
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 / matric • Certificate in TIER.Net and information management • Computer skills (certificate), including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and database software • 3 years working experience as Data Capturer • Training in the HIV AIDS and STI programme • Knowledge of TB and HIV/AIDS • Experience in capturing data, maintaining and/or updating databases • Data analysis which includes the whole data management process • Proficiency in English and IsiZulu languages • Valid code 08 driver’s licence • Clear criminal record
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Capture incoming data on clients rendered service from the mobile team and outreach team • Follow up with staff to make sure data capture forms or accurately filled in, completed and turned in on time • Store, maintain captured data and do regular backups • Check data for completeness, consistency and data verification • File hard and electronic copies of data submitted • Validate data and submit reports when required • Work with M&E team to develop training for specific M&E needs • Plan and prepare training tools & logistics and implement training • Maintain a record of clients referred to facilities from mobile HCT
• Ensure successful referral of at least 60% of referrals provided to other social and health services • Obtain regular feedback from the teams whenever there is a successful referral • Keep an update on excel spreadsheet of all referred clients and give feedback to the relevant staff • Any other duties as assigned by the M&E Coordinator, Site Manager and/or Key Populations Program Manager • Provide HAST Counsellor health support when HAST Counsellor is not available and support development and running of support groups • Manage all aspects of outreach database • Any other duties as assigned by the line manager.
