The appointee should:
Have ABET Level 3 or equivalent qualification
Have at least 1 years’ experience within a mining environment.
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
Advantageous requirements:
Valid driver’s license
Key responsibilities:
Ensure compliance to ‘Zero Tolerance’ work practices.
Compliance to all safety procedures in performance of tasks.
Utilize safety devices and protective equipment.
Maintain equipment and accessories to required standards.
Move cars from bank into conveyance.
Unload material cars and waste from conveyance to bank.
Assist with sling loading of special materials.
Assist with loading of special equipment and machinery.
Ensure adherence to procedures for sensitive materials.
Support team function.
Share information with the team.
Assist with housekeeping at sites.
Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders.
Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment.
Align to international responsible mining principles.
Align to World Gold Council (WGC) Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs).
Comply with SHE standards within the work environment.
Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Instil a culture of SHE leadership within the department.
Participate in regional/local bodies and decision-making forums in the process developing a business-relevant external environment, that will result in the longer-term sustainability of the Division.
