Southern Oil Pty Ltd, an established company and market leader in the manufacturing of Canola oil and related products in the retail, food services, and bulk sectors, has the following exciting career opportunity in Swellendam.

Short Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to undertake cleaning duties as directed by the QA Practitioner, using the schedules and frequencies in line with the requirements of the cleaning specification.

Responsibilities:

General cleaning of offices, laboratory, canteen, boardrooms, training room, and building entrances.
Emptying waste bins in offices, working areas and building entrances.
Cleaning toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks and showers.
Dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, and external surfaces.
Washing of walls and inside window panes and cleaning to a certain height.
Wiping down walls, doors and wall hangings using the appropriate cleaning materials.
Refilling hand towels, soap dispensers and toilet paper in bathrooms regularly.
Ensure coffee machines and microwaves are maintained and cleaned frequently.
Use chemical agents as per the label and receive proper instructions and training.
Preparing tea and coffee for visitors and auditors on request.
Preparing coffee for canteen use.
Ensure lights of office buildings are switched off and windows are closed at end of the day.
Washing and drying of bottling PPE clothing.
Ensure all documentation in use is updated regularly.
Follow company, food safety, and health and safety regulations and rules.
Ensure stock take on monthly basis for general cleaning requirements.
Stand-in for team members in case of absenteeism.
Carrying out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.

Key Competencies:

Education and Experience:

Minimum of a Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
Proficient in English and Afrikaans
