POSITION OVERVIEW
The Pepperclub Hotel is seeking an energetic, customer focused driver who will be responsible for providing a safe and reliable service transporting guests. He or she will also perform hotel-related errands as requested, and transport guests to locations as assigned. The Driver will establish an effective rapport with guests exceeding service expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Matric Graduation Certificate
Valid Code 10 Driver’s License
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
Able to proficiently read, write and speak English
Able to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Prior experience driving a people carrier
An ability to communicate well with guests
2 years hotel experience
JOB DESCRIPTION
Obey all traffic laws
Perform hotel-related errands
Transport guests and/or packages to and from destinations
Arrive at destinations on schedule
Always interact with clients professionally and able to maintain positive conversation with the guests.
Ensure that the vehicle is always fuelled and ready for use
Be attentive to the traffic and weather conditions, stay on schedule and ensure the safety of passengers.
Uphold a positive image of the Hotel by applying good and safe driving habits
Ensure that the people carrier is in good operating condition by testing the brakes, tires, lights, and other components, complete the pre-trip inspection daily, and submit it to the Front Office Manager
Report minor and major accidents and complete required reports
Complete diesel and oil log when filling the people carrier with petrol
Ensure that his/her PDP and Code 10 driver’s license is always valid.
