Job Advert Summary

Rand Water is looking for a candidate who will be responsible for maintaining and developing EMS landscapes and facilities using various horticultural equipment, machines and tools in a labour intensive work as instructed

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12
1 year in Gardens
Ability to operate horticultural machinery such as brush cutter,lawn mower and knap sack
Capable of the work
Basic safety knowledge and safety requirements ( Safety clothes/Equipment required

Primary Duties:

General Sites maintenance of landscapes and facilities
Cleaning sweeping , weeding, watering and planting of plants
Applications of fertilizers, composts and mulches
Loading and offloading of goods ,machines, plants, debris etc.
Use of horticultural machinery , such as lawnmowers,brush cutters and knap sacks
Grass cutting within Bulk Water Distribution sites
Support with decoration when required

Knowledge

Use of hand tools
Mower and brush cutters machinery
Basic plant knowledge

Communications skills ( verbal & written )
