Full Job Description
The SA Steelworks Dispatch Department requires an experienced, professional and dedicated individual to join their team as a Code 14 Driver. The successful candidate will report to the Quality Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Day-to-day inspection of the vehicle and to report any faults
· Loading and off-loading of various materials
· Ensure the safety of other road users
· Ensure adherence to Road Traffic Act
· Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies and the regulations of the road
· You will need to be willing to work long hours and be of sober habits
· Ensure cleanliness of the vehicle allocated to you
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have a valid, unendorsed Code 14 license with a (valid) PRDP
· Motivated and career orientated
· Good communication skills, (speak, read and write English)
· Attention to detail
· Prepared to work overtime
· Prepared for long distance driving with possible overnight stays
· Must be in good health
· Hands on practical approach to the job
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience
· Excellent state of Health
· Great customer skills
