CANDIDATES WITH LOGISTICS DIPLOMA THAT NEED WORK EXPERIENCE:

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE –

· Stock –Ensure effective control and safekeeping of stock in the warehouse.

· Suppliers –build and maintain a good relationship with vendor delivery staff

· DUTIES – PICKER

· Daily picking of stock per job card issued

· Daily receiving of stock from suppliers and matched to suppliers’ invoice for the correctness

· Mark and label ALL stock coming into warehouse with system codes

· Measure all cables and mark them clearly for easy identification

· Daily receiving of stock from suppliers, and match it to suppliers invoices for completeness and correctness

· Report to Logistic manager any discrepancies in stock delivered by suppliers ,as well as stock discrepancies

· Ensure Technicians verify and sign documents when stock is issued to them

· Ensure stock is packed properly into allocated bins and racks, to minimize damage or deterioration.

· Keep warehouse clean & tidy at all times

· Ensure pathways are open and free of stock to walk in, to eliminate any injuries.

· Load stock for outgoing orders ,onto delivery vehicles

· Ensure all stock returns are reported to the Logistics Manager

· Assist with stock counts (perpetual , quarterly and year end counts )

· Ensure only authorised people enter warehouse ,and access to the warehouse are limited at all times

· Driver Duties

· Ensure vehicle are serviced and maintained at regular prescribed intervals.

· Keep record of issuing and returning of each vehicle daily

· Control over trailers, same treatment regarding control and maintenance.

· Ensure vehicle is roadworthy, and valid licence disks are obtained before they expire.

· Perform weekly inspection of vehicles and report damages.

· Report accidents to Logistic manager with relevant info to report to insurance

· Control and safekeeping of tools used by Technician on daily basis.

· General /small maintenance of building and equipment

· Assist in warehouse when required by logistic manager

· Collect, deliver, and transportation of stock when required /instructed. Ensure no overloading and load shifting occurs, Safety must be maintained at all times

Assist other departments when required and instructed by Logistic Manager

Job Type: Internship

Contract length: 12 months

Salary: From R9,000.00 per month

Centurion, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
