Compounder wanted urgently: Salary R6 000 to R12 000 per month

We are a small but rapid growing Cosmetics/Skincare Contract Manufacturing company located in Linbro Business Park, Gauteng. We are looking for a Batching Compounder. This role will be responsible for combining, blending and processing the appropriate raw materials in accordance to the specifications of a batch ticket.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. You must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be diligent, have attention to details, and have a firm understanding of compliance with company’s Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Practices.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Verifies, delivers and compounds in the appropriate batching tank all raw materials required for bulk product manufacturing

· Ensure proper weight and measured ingredients for batching process prior to compounding

· Maintain safety, quality, production, and sanitation standards at all times

· Performs visual quality checks of raw materials, identifies discrepancies and/or adverse chemical reactions and initiates resolution.

· Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation

· Assist if required in completing and maintain department paperwork

· Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands to ensure conformance to established standards

· Cleans and sanitizes assigned tanks, piping, fittings, pumps and other related equipment in accordance with SOP and WI

· Read and understand batch tickets to determine production specifications or information

· Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies

· Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

· High ethical standards

· High school diploma/GED required

· Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing, and regulated environment

· Strong attention to detail and a team player

· Ability to identify problems when they arise and notify appropriate personnel

· Strong understanding of weights and measures

· Experience with a wide variety of measuring instruments and complicated product development

· Knowledge of GMP rules and regulations

· Knowledge of material inspection methods and techniques

· Batching or cosmetics preparation experience preferred
