Position Overview: As a member of the dairy farm team, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of Irish dairy farms. Depending on your experience and skills, you could be working as a Dairy Farm Assistant, responsible for hands-on tasks, or as a Dairy Farm Manager, overseeing operations and leading the team. Your contribution will directly impact the success of the farm and the production of high-quality dairy products.
Key Responsibilities:
Dairy Farm Assistants: Assisting with milking duties and feeding of dairy cattle
Monitoring animal health and well-being
Participating in general farm maintenance activities
Dairy Farm Managers: Overseeing daily farm operations and ensuring efficient workflows
Managing a team of farm workers and assigning tasks
Monitoring herd health, breeding, and production targets
Implementing farm strategies to optimize productivity
Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience working on a dairy farm is essential for both roles
A solid employment record demonstrating reliability and dedication
Strong understanding of animal husbandry and agricultural practices
Leadership skills for Dairy Farm Managers; effective teamwork for Assistants
Ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
Willingness to relocate to Ireland and obtain necessary work permits
