Senior Accountant wanted immediately: Salary R650 000 to R700 000 per year

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Accountant who will be accountable for the Financial Accounting through accurate monthly financial reporting, execute financial accounting processes and controls, financial governance principles and legislative accounting requirements & lead a team of professionals.

Competencies

Ability to understand, apply financial accounting principles & concepts including knowledge of the International Financial Reporting Standards
Strong understanding of financial processes & systems (General Ledger, Sub-ledgers including Accounts Payable, Budgeting, etc
Advanced Excel skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Deadline driven
Proven ability to ensure effective delivery of reporting, projects & any other related deliverables
Exceptional time management skills to be able to manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication and facilitation skills to be able to run workgroups, meetings & minute-taking

Experience & Minimum requirements:

3-year University Degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting and/or Business
CA(SA) or equivalent
4 years’ experience in either a commercial or professional services role with Financial/Management accounting exposure
2 – 5 years Management experience
2 – 5 years’ exposure working in a medium to large organisation within the financial services industry
