The ConstructionConcrete Foreman Concrete and GC and Equipment Operator is responsible for coordinating operations and overseeing workers at construction sites.

Current projects are around the GautengMpumalanga. The Foreman will also be responsible for providing leadership, mentoring, coaching and direction to crews and ensuring projects are run in a manner that ensures maximum efficiency within cost and safety standards.

Position responsibilities Essential Functions

Maintain several ongoing projects while coordinating tasks according to priorities and plans
Comply with safety, quality and technical protocols and work directly with SuperintendentPM to bring a job from start to completion
Monitor attendance and operation of crew of approx. 45
Allocate general and daily responsibilities
Supervise, train, mentor, coach, and instruct workers and tradespeople
Experience running operating at least 2 of the following backhoe, skid steer, dozer, mini excavator, forklift, loader, etc.
Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment, maintain and inventory small tools and equipment, and ensure all equipment, materials, tools, etc. needed for the job are available daily at job site
Resolve problems when they arise
Report on progress to managers, engineers, etc.
Supervise, coordinate, and schedule subcontractors, vendors, inspections, material deliveries, etc.
Perform closeout, punch list, and quality management
Enforce all OSHA rules, MAC Safety Standards, and local policies procedures to provide a safe working environment. Recognize unsafe conditions and behaviors and make corrections to prevent injuries and property loss.
Participate in annual reviews of field staff and the interviewing and hiring of field staff
Promote a strong work environment, ensure employees work hours are submitted properly and correctly on a dailyweekly basis, and address personnel issues as needed to ensure harmony among workers
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with customers, vendors, crews, superintendents and internal organization personnel.

Requirements:
Essential skills and experience
Groundup, sitework, and 2 years leadership experience
Indepth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines
Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
Ability to direct the work of others, make quick decisions, and have strong problem-solving abilities
Must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else
Proven experience as construction foreman
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade electrician, carpenter etc.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to work outside in varying weatherdriving conditions combined with regular work time indoors
Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, stretching and driving
Valued but not required skills and experience
Previous experience working on various size projects and experience with excavating and concrete work
Experience using equipment

Employee must occasionally lift andor move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites. Regular exposure to all weather conditions must work outside in varying weather driving conditions combined with regular work time indoors.
