We are looking for an enthusiastic junior copywriter to join our team to assist with all things copy related; from writing content calendars to website copy and blogs.
The ideal candidate will be able to conceive and execute brave, innovative work. We’re looking for a motivated individual capable of generating new ideas and then implementing them; someone who is passionate about what creativity combined with strategic marketing can do for brands and who wants to improve their creative portfolio.
Duties and responsibilities:
You’ll work closely with the creative team in dissecting briefs and discussing creative routes and ideas. You’ll be expected to function well in a team and bring a spirit of collaboration with you when you walk through the door every morning.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Responding to online enquiries on social media
Engaging with the online communities of multiple brands
Creative and conceptual thinking in the development of new campaigns for clients
Writing for press releases and brand responses
Writing persuasive, original copy and effectively tell brand stories
Writing for Google Ads & Social Media campaigns
Writing for websites, utilising keyword research and with SEO in mind
Writing for newsletters and promotional mailers
Writing for any other marketing materials and ad hoc internal requests
Scheduling and setting up of ads for social media accounts
Writing for social media
Check spelling and grammar
Check for errors in links
Check that image attached is relevant/inoffensive/catchy
Write short sentences for posts
Become a champion of the brands you work on
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and experience:
Diploma
Work experience in a digital agency would be highly advantageous
A three-year degree or similar in copywriting
Knowledge and proficiency in all Microsoft packages
Own, reliable transport and prepared to use personal vehicle for work purposes (will be remunerated)
Good knowledge of Google suite – Gmail, Docs, Google Calendar Spreadsheets
Writing for marketing and websites
Social media scheduling and setting up of ads
Facebook Business manager experience
MailChimp, Google AdWords and WordPress experience advantageous Character
Integrity and heart
Attention to detail (Very important)
All-rounder who is also a go-getter
Ability to remain calm and work under pressure, within stringent deadlines and dealing with moving targets
Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic and busy environment
Hard-working and willing to work on weekends and after-hours
Excellent people skills
Positive attitude and ability to work with different personality types
