A Multinational leading organisation is looking for a new member to join their team, as a Cost Accountant at their head office. This role is suitable for someone that is hard working ambitious and can work under pressure as well as be able to oversee a variety of tasks.

Job Description:
Requirements:

Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Degree
Completed Articles training to become a charted accountant
CA(SA) recommended
Computer Literate- Strong Excel skills and the ability to use outlook and word
Experience in the cost accounting field
Logistics or courier business experience

Duties:

Provides accurate, timely, reliable and complete financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data; preparing reports, performing cost analysis, cost budgets, transactional processing and close, consolidate, and reporting procedures.
Executes on the financial reporting, budgeting and accounting function for Skynet RSA
Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as purchases, inventory, labour, overtime, fuel, owner driver costs etc.
Analysing changes in business activity, direct costs, or services provided, to determine effects on costs and profitability.
Review branch, company and group cost results
Interpret and provide insights related to branch, company and group cost structures
Perform scenario analysis to determine possible future cost and profitability structures
Perform variance analysis on all GL accounts
Maintaining Cost Accounting System
Provide timeous recommendations to management with regards to cost analysis
Assist in the preparation of branch, company and group budgets, forecasts, benchmarks, etc
Prepare monthly journal entries
Analyse monthly profit and loss statements for all branches and all business units
