Credit Controller with at least 5 years experience is required for a large media company based in Johannesburg.

Requirements:

Grade 12 with mathematics and accounting is a prerequisite.
A financial certificate / Diploma.
At least 5 years of credit control experience with similar duties/responsibilities

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel.

Proficient in using accounts receivable in Acpacc or similar ERP system

Generally computer literate

Knowledge of VAT

Duties:

Credit risk assessment of new clients according to company policy and recommendation of appropriate terms to management.
Continuous assessment of credit risk relating to existing clients and appropriate recommendations to management.
Managing overall credit risk and daily operational credit decisions.
Monthly cash flow forecasting (Debtor Receipts).
Preparation of both sundry and sales invoices from supporting documentation.
Compilation of Excel work ticket schedule.
Allocation of cash receipts to the correct customer accounts and invoices in the receivable sub ledger.
Ensuring that VAT is accurately processed on invoices.
Manage the accounts receivable age analysis and receivable sub ledger.
Responsible for the Customer master data table.
Monthly Statement run and interest calc.
Liaise with customers on queries with accounts, establish a relationship with customers.
Identify accounts to be handed over and liaise with legal counsel.
Assisting auditors with queries.
General administrative duties.
