OPPORTUNITY:
We are hiring Drivers to transport our travelers on epic South African road trips, and to show them the time of their lives. You will learn how to deliver an experience that encompasses camping in our national parks, exploring cities big and small, and most importantly, bonding with a group of young people from around the world. This opportunity requires hard work and commitment but has great rewards.

We do require that you have hold a C, EB or EC licence (old code 10) or local equivalent with a Public Drivers Permit (PDP) for at least two years. We have amazing Drivers from all walks of life who all have two things in common – they LOVE providing our travelers with life-changing experiences and are passionate about the United States!
YOU:
Have a class C, EB oe EC with a Public Drivers Permit for at least two years
Have an infectious love of Southern and East Africa, the great outdoors, and adventure travel
Responsible, driven, team player, who loves travel and interacting with people from around the globe.
Ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of contexts.
Cool, calm & collected under pressure. Can professionally and proactively solve problems like changing tires, handling injuries, managing a budget, and anything else that is thrown at you.
Customer service-oriented, putting your travelers first, and always with a smile 🙂
Good computer literacy (Internet, E-mail, Word, Excel, and social media)
Physical ability to handle hikes, luggage, and various active adventures
Love working in a team and are willing to share in G’s amazing culture!
All applicants must be 21 years of age, have a valid driving license, clean driving record, First Aid/CPR Certification, valid Passport.
Responsibilities:
During the contract, a Driver will:
Maintain a clean/safe driving record
Maintain a valid class C, EB oe EC with a Public Drivers Permit
Maintain a valid passport
Comply with all Laws and Regulations while on the road
Consistently deliver a high level of customer service and traveler satisfaction
Provide leadership for our travelers and be responsible for their well-being
Continually expand your knowledge of our routes, stops, and destinations
Keep vaccinations and preventive medication up to date
On each departure, a Driver will:
Transport travelers safely to and from our destinations
Ensure that vehicle is operating in compliance with South African operating standards
Take responsibility for the maintenance and safety of the vehicle (25 pax minibus)
Deal directly with your traveler’s issues and concerns, ensuring that passenger satisfaction is effectively achieved
Maintain the established travel itinerary as closely as possible, making changes only when necessary
Assist and accompany travelers during optional activities and meals.
Maintain daily expenditure accounts, retain receipts and keep expenses within the trip budget provided
Provide a report for each trip, in the requested format
Provide assistance to the regional offices when requested by their Managers
