At DHL Supply Chain South Africa we’re looking for a Forklift Driver at one of our Cape Town sites
Job Purpose:
To ensure safe and accurate movement of pallets and stock between locations, by following instructions from the WMS via RF-connected devices
Key Accountabilities:
To contribute to a productive working environment
To work within any operating areas as determined by management and the needs of the Business
Daily inspections of MHE and report any defects timeously to Management
Ensure that damages to MHE are kept to a minimum
When carrying out your duties, follow the Standard Operating Procedures and safe working practices
Be actively involved in and support change initiatives
Honesty – pride in your job and an eye for detail
Operate with integrity and ethical values
Ensure pallets are packed according to the stacking procedures
Maintain and enhance safety and minimize losses / damages by following good housekeeping procedures;
Working within a physically demanding environment;
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Report and record any non-conformity with regards to the customers merchandise or unsafe acts
Complete tasks timeously – meet KPI’s
Adhere to the Unit’s SHE rules and best practices
Ensure that product safety, quality and integrity is not compromised
Report any person’s behavior that may impact on the safety, quality and integrity of the stored product
Performance Indicators (What criteria will be used to assess the performance of the role holder)
Accuracy;
Safe and tidy work environment;
Damages kept to a minimum;
Care of equipment;
Adherence to task SOP’s.

Qualifications:
Matric
Valid forklift licence
Skills/Competencies/Experience:
Team player
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to adapt easily to changing circumstances
Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions
Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations
Have appropriate hand, eye and foot co-ordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment
SAP / WMOS exposure
Ability to move product which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting, in line with Health & Safety Regulations
Logistics or warehousing experience
1-2 Years FLT Experience
Ability to achieve results
Language:
English – Verbal and Written
