Duties & Responsibilities:

Generate ideas and create visual concepts for promotions, mailers, websites, packaging, online and print catalogues, and other mediums.
Develop layouts and templates for various projects.
Create design solutions that adhere to relevant company/brand identities maintaining brand consistency throughout all materials.
Create product packaging layouts and 3D mock-ups based on the application of an existing brand identity
Finalize product packaging artwork for print
Work effectively on multiple simultaneous projects with varying priorities and timelines.
Work with peers and leaders across the department/s and the business to establish both strong and effective working relationships.
Manage time-sensitive project requests and ultimately meet deadlines.
Interpret feedback to complete revisions.
Flow with a design from concept to final execution.
Adhere to health and safety requirements at all times.
Assist in other positions and departments in accordance with operational requirements.
Maintain and improve housekeeping and hygiene standards within the department.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

Standard 10 / Grade 12 or equivalent.
Relevant tertiary diploma, degree or equivalent in Graphic design (NQF 6 / 7) and a, portfolio of evidence.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ working experience in a similar position.
Must be highly skilled in Adobe CC, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator (not negotiable).
Corel Draw knowledge will be advantageous.
Experience working with Adobe Dimension or similar software.
Have good knowledge of typography, colour, styles and layout techniques.
Have an understanding of the printing process and specifications.
Experience working with existing product packaging dielines.
Experience working with various formats of product packaging.
Knowledge of how to work with and prepare product packaging artwork according to suitable print finishes.
Have up to date knowledge of current tools and trends relating to general industry developments and in relation to graphic design.
Be Mac literate.
Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
