Head Housekeeper wanted immediately: Salary R16 000 to R18 000 per month

Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage the day to day operation of the housekeeping department including rooms, public areas, back and front of house, laundry, conference & banqueting and spa
Provide strong leadership to the team
Ensure departmental SOP’s are implemented and staff are trained accordingly
Plan sufficient staff compliment, compiling rosters
Ordering of stock, stock control and stock take – attending to any variances and accounting for losses or damaged stock
for the department, ensuring sufficient par stocks are on hand, control
Motivate and train staff
Manage the departments’ budgets i.t.o. operating expenses in relation to occupancies and business needs
Extensive Guest interaction, attending to any special requests, needs and complaints with the aim to provide exceptional service
Assist the management team with Duty Management shifts as rostered on a rotational basis

Requirements:

SA Citizen
Grade 12 or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role within a medium to large 4* hotel
Show exceptional attention to detail
Well presented, in good health and taking pride in appearance
Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)
Computer literate in MS Word & Excel
Be able to live on-site or in surrounding areas of the property
Able to work shifts
Have a clean work record and clear criminal record
Have own reliable transport
