PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

The General Cleaner has overall responsibility for monitoring and cleaning the Spa to include but not limited to, Reception, Relaxation areas, Treatment rooms and Back-Of-House areas. Maintain and administer the hygiene and safety procedures in the Spa working environment as per the standards set by the group. The Cleaner is to ensure that all front and back of house areas is consistently monitored by following the cleaning guidelines and supervision of the manager. The General Cleaner may from time to time need to assist the Spa Manager in serving guests Food and Beverages during groups and functions.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Thoroughly clean all assigned areas within prescribed standard guidelines
Properly and safely use authorized cleaning agents
Have complete knowledge and understanding of all Cleaning products
Uphold standards of hygiene and sanitation as per health and safety regulations
Maintain treatment rooms in a high standard of hygiene and as per the specific room setup
Ensure equipment is maintained in good working order and report any misuse
Minimize or eliminate losses through negligence by adhering to monitoring program
Follow through with a clearly established opening and closing procedure and report issues
Manage product usage by following protocol guidelines
Assist in all areas of the Spa operations and general public areas of the Hotel as requested by management
Monitor and adhere to all aspects of the Spa’s operation
Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute towards a quality work environment
Handle guests questions and concerns professionally and courteously
Required to report for duty 15 minutes prior to the start of your shift

Requirements:
Matriculated
1-2 years’ experience in similar position
The ability to conduct yourself professionally
Ability to cope with demanding customer requirements and different situations
Ensuring positive team spirit
Required to work 45 hours per week, Mondays to Sundays, including Public Holidays, as per schedule
Required to work a minimum of 3 or 4 weekends per month, depending on the length of month
