Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement human resources and people development strategies, objectives and processes
Provide direction and guidance to management and the Human Resources Department to ensure the implementation and maintenance of sound human resources policies and practices
Influence management and the operations of the ongoing need for transformation and drive it throughout the Company
Develop and propose changes within the organization for the retention of staff
Develop and implement human resources planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and performance management strategies.
Develop and implement initiatives to support the Company in its quest to become more adaptable, resilient and quick to change direction.
Contribute to and lead initiatives aimed at the growth of an employee-oriented workplace that meets the needs of employees for meaningful work, growth, challenge, communication and effective leadership.
Become a strategic partner to the business that acts as an employee sponsor and change mentor.
Define and develop an organizational culture that enables the Company to succeed in its service to its clients.
Provide guidance and direction to management on compensation and benefits.
Preserve the employer-employee relationship through the implementation of effective employee relations strategies.
Research and suggest strategies for increasing employee commitment to the Company.
Ensure statutory compliance (Employment Equity, Workplace Skills plan and Report and BBBEE).
Lead the Human Resources Department to render comprehensive human resources services and support to the business.
Ensure that Human Resources processes are regularly updated to ensure efficient and effective human resources service.
Advise and coach managers and employees on best people management practices.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
A relevant Qualification
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An in-depth knowledge of labour legislation and its implications in the workplace
The ability to adapt management styles to meet the needs of different audiences
Experience in the consulting engineering field would be an advantage
Proven ability to work at a strategic level.
