Infant Care Specialist needed immediately: Salary R13 500 to R15 000 per month

Sitters4U offers a new long term live out (or live in for those without a vehicle) professional infant care specialist role in Bedfordview Johannesburg, for the care of a twins age 9 months.

Times: Monday to Friday: 07h30 – 16h30

Duties:
An infant care specialist usually works full day, although they may also be requested half day, and may do extra babysitting or adhoc childcare for her/his employers from time to time. Duties will typically include (but are not limited to):

Dressing the child/children and changing diaper’s
Washing and sterilising bottles/preparing formula
Prepare foods and feed the child/children
Bathing of the child/children
Washing babies clothing
Organizing and packing away of toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas
Washing dishes, changing bedding, sanitizing of toys and play equipment
Keeping records of the days activities, meals served, medications administered and milestones, observe and monitor a child’s development
Accompany children to group activities and classes, on outings, and to medical appointments
Creation, management and implementation of a child’s schedule including planning age appropriate, stimulating recreational activities, eating times and sleeping times
Avoiding over stimulation
Identifying signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bringing them to the parents´or guardians´ attention
Reading, imaginative play, finger painting, baby massages, making music with things like pots and wooden spoons, exploring and introducing the child/children to the world around them and having as much fun as possible
Milestone tracking and recording

Requirements:

Minimum NQF5 Education level
Minimum 3 years experience working with infants and/or toddlers
First Aid Level 1 or higher
Own Childsafe Vehicle and drivers license
Experience with infant/toddler twins or experience working with more than 2 children under 2 years old simultaneously is required (nursery school/day mom etc. experience also welcome)
Starting Date Preferred: 3 August 2020
Duration of Contract: 1 year or longer preferred

Type: Live Out or for a professional without a vehicle, live in may be offered (please note if living in, a deduction of up to a maximum of 10% of salary may be made by the employer as per BCEA)
