Responsibilities:

Development and maintenance of systems for classification, cataloguing, indexing and circulation
Assistance with research activities as needed
Dealing with telephonic queries
Book processing and preparation: attaching security measures
Capturing of recently acquired library material on the library system
Make library cards
Assist with marketing including book exhibitions, open day, pamphlets and newsletters

Requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent
3 years’ relevant experience or
Diploma / Degree in Library Information Science
Knowledge of library systems
Computer literacy
Organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: R173,703.00 /month
