Key Individual – Job Description

Scope Markets Limited is a global recognized Financial Services provider with regional offices and representation in key financial locations. Scope Markets has over 200 employees globally and is looking to expand its operations into sub-Saharan Africa and continue to grow its strong global brand in the local South African community with a local presence.

Scope Markets will hold a Category 1 license for shares and derivative instruments with Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).

We are looking to recruit a managing director for the groups South African operation who will run the region office from top to bottom and report directly to the group’s Board of Directors.

Candidate Requirements:

Strong understanding of Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA)
A strong Educational background
Essential that the Key individual is qualified and registered for categories 1.8 Shares,13 Derivatives and 1.18 long- and short-term deposits with FSCA.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to communicate, convince and challenge strategies and vision of the group.
Previous experience of dealing with FSCA at a senior level is essential for the role.
Result-driven, proactive and self-starter attitude is a key requirement for the successful individual.
The duties and responsibilities below are general guidelines for the job description. The executive could be asked from time to time to do work outside of those listed below but will still be relevant to the senior role we are hiring for.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Implement the policies and the corporate strategy developed by the board of directors in conjunction with the Managing director of the South African entity.
Identify and recommend to the board employment of individuals who are competent to add value to the company
Establish and maintain efficient and adequate internal controls and systems to meet regulatory standards in the region.
Design and report management information reports to the board of directors in a timely manner.
Responsible for achieving all company set objectives, maximizing profitability through exploiting sales and maintaining cost controls.
Ensuring the sales teams are managed and are meet and exceed targets on turnover and costs set by the board of directors in the short, medium- and long-term targets.
Formulating the sales strategy and regular planning of sales targets.
Liaising with senior staff to determine the range of services to be sold in the region.
Analyzing sales data and producing reports and recommendations on marketing and sales initiatives to the board of directors.
Keep abreast and ahead of the competitive landscape within the region.
