Experience / Education:
Degree or diploma in related field essential.
Retail experience preferential
Have a clear and thorough knowledge of marketing principles
Preferably have centre retail marketing experience (but not essential)
Understand and have experience in dealing with related fields – advertising, PR, online, social media, media in general, events and promotions
Ability to analyze situations accurately and provide efficient solutions
Ability to make decisions that lead to optimal results
Excellent co-ordination skills and time management
Effective utilization of resources
Have knowledge of and practical experience in putting events/promotions together and the execution thereof.
Must have attention to detail and excellent admin skills.
Must have an excellent command of English – verbal & written.
Must be able to work under pressure and adhere to time lines.
Monitors progress toward objectives and adjusts plans as necessary to reach them
Identifies needs/problems, secures relevant information, relates data from different
Negotiates (terms, deals rates, sponsorships, etc)
Makes budget and strategy recommendation to manager.
Contract administration, quality control and execution.
Event coordination (conceptualizing events, oversee plans and budgets, liaison with suppliers).
Monitor exhibitors (to conform to required standards).
Manages and maintains relationships with tenants.
Managing and controlling marketing budget.
Prepares and quality control of marketing reporting
Approval of invoices / creditors to be paid.
Oversees and generate briefs to agencies / promotional companies.
Approves creative work and schedules of agencies / promotional companies.
Attends to queries/complaints that were escalated to this level.
Ensures cooperation, synergy and effective communication between marketing and other departments.
