General office administration and secretarial tasks;
Administering the centre’s cost point and processing financial transactions on SU’s financial system;
Assisting with the completion of templates, drafting standardised letters, capturing and updating data;
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders;
Filing reports and documents;
Scheduling of and assisting with meetings.
Updating the centre’s website;
Asset management and ordering new equipment;
Handling basic enquiries related to the functions and responsibilities of the centre;
Monitoring of the Government Gazette and relevant Higher Education news sites.

Algemene kantooradministrasie en sekretariële take;
Administrasie van sentrum se kostepunt en prosessering van finansiële transaksies op die US se finansiële-stelsel;
Bystand met die invul van template, opstel van standaard briewe, opdatering en vaslegging van data;
Skakeling met interne en eksterne belanghebbendes;
Liassering van verslae en dokumente;
Skedulering van en ondersteuning tydens vergaderings;
Opdatering van die sentrum se webwerf;
Hantering van die sentrum se bateregister en bestelling van nuwe toerusting;
Hantering van basiese navrae insake die funksies en verantwoordelikhede van die sentrum;
Monitering van die Staatskoerant en ander Hoër Onderwys nuusbronne.

An administrative or financial qualification (Higher Certificate/Diploma) at NQF level 5 or higher, or a Bachelor’s degree in any field;
At least two years’ work experience in office, records and financial administration;
Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Professional;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent organisational skills.

’n Administratiewe of finansiële kwalifikasie (Hoër Sertifikaat/Diploma) op NKR-vlak 5 of hoër, of ’n B-graad in enige veld op NKR-vlak 7;
Minstens twee jaar werkservaring in kantoor-, rekords- en finansiële administrasie;
Rekenaargeletterdheid en -vaardigheid in MS Office en Adobe Professional;
Uitstekende skriftelike en mondelinge kommunikasievaardighede;
Uitstekende organisatoriese vaardighede.

A Bachelor’s degree;
Work experience specifically at a tertiary or similar institution;
Knowledge of the general functioning and structures of Stellenbosch University;
Experience of Stellenbosch University’s Administrative and Financial systems.

As part of the interview process, short-listed candidates could be expected to perform a task-based assessment based on the requirements as set out in the advertisement.
