About the Role:

Assist the Payroll Manager to provide an effective and efficient payroll administration and ensure that all employees receive the correct compensation. Interface with HR regarding inputs, queries, and timelines.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCED REQUIRED:

Finance / Payroll Qualification
Five years of working experience in a similar position – preferable with Sage X3
Experience that would assist the incumbent in driving a service excellence mindset and building relationships within the organization as a whole.
Experience using E@syfile and Efiling.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Solid Premier knowledge –Sage X3/Sage People 300 will be an advantage
Excellent organizational skills
Good communication skills
Strong numeracy skills with an understanding of accounting
Advanced Excel knowledge
Excellent Reconciling skills

MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Good technical skills – able to correct errors in the system and understand conditions/methods of calculation
Strategic thinker- able to identify and resolve problems efficiently
Supervise the payroll process to ensure accurate and efficient output
Prepare and reconcile all monthly statutory reports (EMP201, UIF submission, WCA)
Experience in Tax Year-end submission (Running Validation reports, Reconciling EMP501 and IRP5
Submission)

Working closely with Internal and External Auditors during audit periods
Monthly and ad-hoc reporting: Provident Fund, Medical Aid, auditors’ reports
Knowledge of import and export of files to payroll
Knowledge of recon and running General Ledger
