Duties and Responsibilities:

Management of all production employees including machine operator and labourers.
Monitor production output and drive productivity in order to achieve production targets as agreed.
Drive down the scrap rates through ensuring employees are always conforming to procedure.
Ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained on all machines.
Do first off and monitor quality of product produced.
Quality, health and safety compliance with company requirements for ISO 9001, ISO 18001, ISO 14000 and others.
Deal with employee HR Issues.
Control all drawings and documents.
Control cost related to overtime, ensuring overtime is in line with expected productivity.
Reporting to management as required.

Desired Experience and Qualification:

Matric; Trade Qualification Fitter and Turner
Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory position in a manufacturing environment; Experience in Steel manufacturing is highly preferable; Experience on the following machines: Heavy duty Copy Lathes; CNC End Drill and Tap machines; Endomatic End Facing & Centering machines
