SALES REPRESENTATIVE Urgently Wanted: APPLY NOW
The Sales Representative will represent the interests of John Crane at the customer, while also representing the customer’s interests at John Crane. You will sell and market JC products in the Durban region. The sales representative should see himself as the Managing Director of his own small business unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
Achieve and exceed agreed monthly and annual budget.
Increase and maintain the John Crane market share.
Prepare and submit weekly call planners.
Prepare and submit monthly sales reports.
Promote full range of products at the existing customers, and new customers.
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities at ‘new’ & ‘dormant’ customers.
Assist with weekly/monthly forecasts and annual budget.
Follow up on all outstanding orders and quotes
Keep all the delivery on time with the correct paper work.
Update C4C quote list daily and C4C Opportunities weekly
Learn and know the John Crane products and system. (Own responsibility). Assistance available.
Build up personal and intimate relationships with customers, possibly done after hours too.
Assist customer to identify and then resolve problem applications on site, using Crane products.
Influence customer to upgrade to newer John Crane technology in identified applications.
Influence customers to phase out competitor products with Crane products.
Identify and cultivate new, commercially viable, business opportunities, using full product range.
Customer Segment base: Mining, Power Generation, General Industry, Food and Beverage.
Prepare and present annual budgets, as per the required format.
Revise these budgets as required, i.e. Roll 1 to 4.
Achieve budgets as set and agreed to, not only on sales, but on contribution and expenditure too.
Required Skills and Experience
Positive attitude rather than negative attitude is required.
Technical or trade qualification preferable, but not essential.
Sales experience. Preferable in: (Engineering, rotating equipment.)
Valid driver’s license.
Self-motivated with entrepreneurial skills while being profit and goal orientated.
Results and goal focused.
A team player who uses their own initiative.
