You as a Sales Service Specialist, will be part of Power Grids business and reporting to the Market Development Manager, you are responsible for driving service sales process in collaboration with the Service Sales Manager and/or Service Manager. Generating service sales opportunities and securing profitable sales within the designated area(s). Focusing on installed base penetration (IB) and sell the entire Service product portfolio in collaboration with other Hitachi ABB Power Grids service units. Building long term customer relationships and ensure immediate response to specific customer needs and issues.
Service sales delivery : In collaboration with the Service Sales Manager and/or Service Manager implements Service sales strategy. Penetrating IB, promotes various upgrade, retrofit and value add solutions to the benefit of the customer and ABB. Understanding the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices and preparing sales plans, reviewing them and proposing recovery plan(s) when needed. Regularly updating installed base in ServIS with the changes made at site.
Volume and profit : Utilizing ServIS to understand the existing installed base (IB) and identifying and developing sales opportunities for Service products and solutions to penetrate the existing IB/new IBs in the market. Focusing on the entire Service portfolio to secure profit for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.
New opportunities : Generating Service sales leading and developing new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information, identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios. Taking a One ABB approach to leverage other colleagues portfolios.
Customer approach : Establishing long term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations and demonstrating in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM). Registering customer feedback and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Sales process : Selling entire service product portfolio to expand ABB footprint in the designated area(s). Charts out and monitors sales proposals, tenders and follows up proposal statistics. Preparing Hitachi ABB Power Grids Service offerings based on customer need and in coordination with the local Service Sales Manager and/or Service Manager. Communicating contract details in accordance with Hitachi ABB Power Grids offering and strategy. Manages administrative sales processes.
Marketing : Acting as a marketer/salesperson of ABB s service products and solutions during marketing activities. Translating the needs of customer into relevant Hitachi ABB Power Grids Service offerings and solutions.
Safety and Integrity: Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.
National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical or Technical Diploma with a Trade Tested Certificate.
More than 5 years of experience in Transformer services, High Voltage or Substations.
Experience in Sales, field work on substations, preparation of quotations, good communications skills with customers, presentations skills.
South and Southern Africa willingness to travel.
Take full control of the RFQ process until final handover for project execution.
