Key Areas:

Receiving, storing, assembling, packing and unpacking of goods as well as dispatching goods from the store.
Inspecting, checking and recording quantities of all stock received against the transfer sheet to ensure that every stock item transferred is present and report any discrepancies identified upon receiving or delivering of goods.
Organizing the warehouse in a way that existing inventory is easily & safely accessible and clearly identifiable.
Sorts, mark and places materials on racks or shelves according to predetermined product code sequence.
Draw required stock as per picking slips or delivery notes from the shelves and conveys the order to the counter or collection/inspection area pending delivery.
Assemble or disassemble stock items as may be required by customers or for stock holding from time to time.
Package goods correctly ready for delivery or collection by Courier Company.
Monitoring stock levels to decide if more should be ordered, as well as advising the Warehousing & Logistics Manager about potential stock-outs and re-ordering levels to maintain minimum and maximum stock thresholds.
Responsible for Stock counts on a daily basis and take part in national stocktake quarterly.
Maintaining effective stock control at all times to ensure accurate inventory records.
Scheduling deliveries and planning the routes in a way that will meet delivery time constraints.
Collecting of cash in the case of a C.O.D. sale and accepting returned goods from customers.
Records delivery information as well as cash collected on the trip sheet.
Carryout daily vehicle inspection and report any fault identified.
Notifies supervisor when routine or other maintenance on a delivery vehicle is required.
Responsible for cleaning of the delivery vehicle inside and out.
File copies of waybills, packing slips, transfers and other documents as required.
Ensuring good housekeeping within the warehouse to provide a safe, professional environment.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric Certificate
One to three years of warehouse and driving experience.
Current valid driver’s license (Code C1 (Old Code 10)) with PDP
Must be computer literate
Ability to manage all aspects of the role in a pressurized environment, prioritize and multitask.
Computer literacy essential.
Basic mathematical skills.
