If you have completed Grade 12, a forklift licence, excellent Excel skills, come from a warehousing/manufacturing environment, and have at least 2 years experience in managing a fleet of trucks, you are welcome to apply to be considered for the vacancy of Receiving Clerk based in Kempton Park.
You will be required to:
Handle and manage incoming goods and materials received
Perform and execute unloading and unpacking of goods received from Depots/Suppliers and plants
Inspect and verify the condition of goods received
Count and verify received goods
Reconcile goods received against invoices/delivery notes/Iscala transfer document
Communicate discrepancies in goods received to the Supervisor or Manager
Ensure that all necessary documents are endorsed if any discrepancies
Do random weighing of pallets on scale provided to check if tonnage is correct
Do quality inspections on goods
Fill in a goods received note and hands over to the Inventory clerk, together with all supporting documents received from the said load to process the GRN on Iscala
Allocate stock in the warehouse to the correct bins as per Haz compliance
Ensure warehouse are packed according to Fifo at all times
Drive the Forklift to assist in put away and orders
Arrange transport as per request from Admin and
Route planning
Obtaining of quotes before transport is done for special transport requests.
Follow-up any transport-related queries.
Compile daily load report on freight In & out, routing & costing.
Ensure all PODS for transport are checked and filed.
Ensure all invoices for transport are submitted to depot manager for approval.
General Duties
Assist with month-end stock take/weekly cycle counts
Assist with Shelve life and Warehouse Utilization reports weekly
Assist with order preparation
Assist with offloading
Maintain housekeeping standards
Assist with labelling
