Senior Accountant urgently needed: Salary R30 000 to R35 000 per month

Responsibilities and Duties

Assisting the Manager as needed, but not limited to:
Liaising directly with clients to source new work for the accounting department;
Supervising 2-5 accountants to achieve set goals;
Writing up of more complex accounting records of clients on Xero accounting
Preparing accounting work relating to annual financial statements;
Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis;
Preparation of monthly management accounts

Qualification and Experience requirements

B Com Accounting or equivalent degree
Minimum of 3 years experience within the accounting field
Payroll experience is essential
Ability to meet with client and sell work to be done
Must be able to work on caseware working papers
Must compile and understand compilations for IFRS for SMEs, as well as the performance of independent reviews
Presentable and well-spoken
Is fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
A meticulous and detailed person
Computer literature in Pastel, Sage one Accounting, Xero Accounting, Simple Pay/Payspace, MS Excel, MS Office and SARS e-fillingVAT Returns, PAYE and returns, UIF
Must be able to lead a team and work in a team
Able to take own initiative and think out of the box.
Meet deadlines and deliver error-free work on tight deadlines

Salary: R30,000.00 to R35,000.00 /month

Experience:

Payroll Administration: 1 year (Preferred)
Xero: 1 year (Preferred)
Accounting: 3 years (Required)
