Responsibilities:

Attend daily morning meeting.

●

Carry out shift inspections on the crane to ensure they are safe to use; Report any abnormalities to the supervisor and appropriate personnel.

●

Carry out shift inspections on the attachments (grabs etc.) to ensure they are safe to use; Report any abnormalities to the supervisor and appropriate personnel.

●

Inspection of the glass and packs to be loaded on the line, ensuring there are no chipped edges, cracked or broken glass loaded.

●

Proper and safe use of grabs to ensure glass is FULLY secured at all times.

●

Reporting of incidents, be it safety, environment, and stock related.

●

Ensure that all the glass leaving the production line is accounted for.

●

The glass must be placed in the correct location
.

●

Ensure that disposal of material in the workplace is in the correct and responsible manner.

●

Reporting of unsafe acts and activities in the workplace.

●

Ensuring that the equipment used is adequate and meant for the job and safe to use at all times.

●

Ensure that the warehouse area is kept clean at all times. Everything must be in its place e.g. spacers, trolleys, etc.

●

Adhere to Safety and Quality processes.

Required Skills
crane operator: 2 to 3 years

Candidate Requirements
Grade 12
Crane experience
2 years of experience in manufacturing experience
Good verbal and communication skills
This position reports to Operations Manager
