Our client, a leading manufacturer is seeking to employ a Truck Crane Operator for their branch based in Kempton Park, JHB.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Load and off-load containers from trucks.

Major Areas of Responsibility

1. Serve as a positive role model while operating the crane.

2. Performs pre-trip and post trip checks.

3. Keep truck and crane clean at all times.

4. Report maintenance problems to the Operations Director.

5. Clean spills and clean tanks.

6. Fuel the assigned vehicle.

7. Follow all safety regulations and precautions.

8. Wear all the required and necessary Personal Protective Equipment.

9. Abide by all laws regarding the use of vehicles on public roads.

10. Ensure your crane licence is valid and unendorsed at all times.

11. Ensure the crane is in working order and checked before use.

12. Ensure the crane slings are checked and load tested.

13. Ensure the crane is load tested regularly.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

Matric

Relevant experience with truck mounted crane operating heavy tonnage – Position will be loading/off-loading containers at max 5 tons.

Relevant drivers and operator’s licence

Able to work overtime when required

Good communication skills

Package & Remuneration:

R7600 basic with R690 monthly taxable allowance + contribution towards pension fund + group life cover + 13th cheque

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: R9,157.00 to R28,858.00 /month

Experience:

class a CDL: 1 year (Preferred)

Licence:

Heavy-vehicle drivers licence (Preferred)
