The above vacancy exists in our Packaged department at our Cape Town facility, reporting to the Facility Supervisor. Qualified candidates who meet the requirements of the role are invited to apply.

Overview & Key Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for the safe delivery and collection of Packaged Gas products from internal and external customers. The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

1. Responsible for the pre-post journey checks of the vehicle;
2. Ensure safe and efficient delivery and collection of cylinders at assigned destinations;
3. Responsible for the loading and offloading of cylinders;
4. Ensure SHERQ standards are constantly adhered to.

Essential Requirements:

1. A minimum Grade 12 certificate with Maths and Science;
2. A valid unendorsed EC drivers’ license with a valid Dangerous Goods Certificate;
3. Must have own reliable transport;
4. Must have a forklift license;
5. A minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy-duty driving;
6. Must be in possession of a PrDP;
7. Must be medically fit to perform physical work;
8. Must be willing to work with a shift system as well as overtime when required;
9. Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
