Job Description:

Position Specification

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 with necessary security training and certification • At least 5 years’ security experience • Supervisory experience would be an advantage • PSIRA Grade C • Valid Driver’s license • Computer literate

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the implementation of Sol Plaatje University(SPU )shift system • Physical Security supervision • Emergency Response • Crisis Management • Information Protection • Incident Management • Crime prevention • Traffic control • Identify and report unsafe circumstances • Ensure compliance with SHE policies and procedures • Deployment of Security Officers as per posting sheet • Ensure fair allocation of workloads • Monitor staff timekeeping and attendance • Take responsibility for new staff induction • Recommend staff training, development, coaching and mentoring • Attend to employment relations matters (grievance, discipline, and conflict resolution) • Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting • Communicate and consult with relevant stakeholders.
