Sales, Admin and Customer Service Assistant wanted: APPLY NOW
Owner managed retail shop, workshop, and training centre based in the centre of Paarl. A sewing machine sales and repair shop and haberdashery shop. The owner is actively involved in the business and is needing an assistant.
We are looking for a stable individual – preferably someone with a passion and knowledge of sewing – that will work in the shop. Someone who has the potential to be trained on the products and get involved in training, demos, and conducting courses. Someone friendly, with great customer service skills, very presentable and fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08h30 to 17h00 with a half-hour lunch and Saturday from 09h00 – 13h00.
You will be responsible for:
· Answering the telephone
· Handling queries regarding repairs to sewing machines
· Handling enquiries regarding new sewing machines
· Answering customer questions, face-to-face and telephonically
· Keeping the shop clean at all times
· Sales of sewing machines and haberdashery items
· Handling cash
· Demonstrating the machines for clients
· Administration – filing and keeping track of repairs
· Keeping accurate records
· Once you have been trained, you will conduct the courses with clients on their machines, training them on all the things the machines can do
· Marketing and promotion of the courses
