Zipcord Industries is looking for a driver to join our team.

Requirements for the position:

Grade 12
At least 3 years of delivery experience with a license to drive with a trailer
Valid driver’s license,
Good time management skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Sober habits
Clear criminal record
Knowledge of motor vehicles
Highschool diploma
A clean driving record
Familiarity with GPS devices

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following:

Inspecting of the vehicle pre-departure and return
Inspection lists to be completed daily and handed back to line manager
Any errors on the vehicle need to be reported immediately before the vehicle can leave the premises.
Checking parcels together with supervisor before loading into the vehicle
Delivering the parcels to the customers on your designated route as per route schedule and trip sheet.
Ensure customer adherence to the POD procedure.
Delivering all documents and collection slips that are allocated to your trip sheet and receiving POD.
Maintaining and cleaning of the vehicle, reporting any problems on the vehicle immediately to line manager
Report any problems encountered regarding deliveries or POD`s to line manager
Collecting and delivering of all project and company-related parts
