Introduction

1.1 The Public Health and Social Development Sectoral Bargaining Council (PHSDSBC) is designated in section 36 of the Labour Relations Act, 66 of 1995, to promote labour peace through constructive collective bargaining and expeditious resolution of disputes.
1.2 The PHSDSBC has a vacancy for a Receptionist.

2.2 Note: The application must include a detailed Curriculum Vitae, copies that are certified within three months of following: Identity Document, Grade 12 Certificate, and the highest required qualification. Please do so to ensure your application is not disqualified. Foreign qualifications must be accompanied by an evaluation report issued by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). The applicant must have all foreign qualifications evaluated by SAQA and provide proof of such evaluation report (only when shortlisted). Foreign applicants should also attach copies of their work permits.

2.5 The successful candidate will be subjected to undergo security vetting. PHSDSBC will conduct reference checks which may include the social media profiles of the shortlisted candidates. Applicants must declare any pending criminal, discipline, or any other allegations or investigations against them. Should this be uncovered during/after the interview, the application will not be considered, and in the unlikely event that the person has been appointed, such appointment will be terminated.
2.6 The successful candidate will be appointed subject to the positive results of the security clearance process.

Details of the post

3.1 Post: Receptionist. Reference number: 07/08/2023/ICT01.
3.2 Purpose of the post: To provide an effective frontline support service to the structures of the Council.
3.3 Salary: R 162 160.56 per annum (Level 4)
3.4 Centre: Gauteng (Centurion).

Requirements: The candidate must have matric (grade12), a one (1)-year certificate from an accredited institution.

A driver’s license will be an added advantage.

Key Performance Areas:

2.1 To answer incoming calls, forwarding them to the relevant departments, including taking messages.
2.2 To welcome visitors and advise relevant individuals and/or departments of visitors at reception.
2.3 To scan incoming documentation.
2.4 To manage service desk e-mails and WhatsApp messages.
2.5 To make travel arrangements and courier logistics for the department.
2.6 To prepare and update task lists for meetings and write minutes.
2.7 To initiate purchase orders and follow up on invoices.
2.8 To liaise with service providers, communicate with stakeholders, and write specifications and submissions.
2.9 To conduct customer service feedback, tabulate statistics, and consolidate results.
2.10 To assist with exhibitions and procure corporate material.
2.11 Assist other departments with administrative duties where necessary.
