For this venture we require the services of a new breed of Financial Professional that will be the face of this next-generation industry.

We are looking for a permanent, full time Junior Accountant in our Accounting Operations Department.

Lastly of course if you meet the below minimum requirements:

Qualifications and General:

National Senior Certificate;
A three (3) year Diploma or Degree in Bookkeeping, Accounting and/or tax;
Own reliable transport;
A clear criminal record;
Active membership in good standing with one of the accounting or tax processional bodies will be an advantage.
Be available to work both remotely with a reliable internet connection and from the Osidon office as required.

Experience:

At least two (2) years of experience in a practice in accounting and tax.
Having Payroll experience will be an advantage.
Experience in personal income tax will be an advantage.

Skills:

You must have excellent numerical skills;
The ability to communicate effectively in English in verbal and written format;
You must be able to understand and use online accounting and payroll software effectively;
You must be able to complete the accounting process according to accounting standards up to final financial statements;
Professionalism toward clients, colleagues, and the profession;
You must also have good knowledge and understanding of South African Business, Tax and Employment Law;
Be able to use accounting and other information to complete corporate and individual tax returns;
Have a keen eye for detail;
Be a self-driven individual;
Must be able to work in a team;
You must be able to work under pressure;
Should be able to implement instructions effectively;
You must be comfortable adapting to change;
Excellent administration skills;
You must be able to meet deadlines;

Successful candidates will have the following responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the accounting and tax of our SMME clients from a range of different, exciting, and interesting industries and your duties will amongst other things include reconciling the client’s bank account transactions and drafting monthly and annual reports and statements;
  • You will establish professional long-term relationships with clients with excellent service orientation and frequent contact with clients.

Administer the full payroll function for clients by creating and processing pay runs;

You will file clients’ tax returns relating to income tax, VAT and employee taxes and other compulsory returns;
Ensure that clients are compliant with the Department of Labour, SARS and the CIPC;
Provide feedback and reports to a Financial Consultant Manager;
You will form part of a team who uses the latest technology and innovation to ensure professional service delivery;
You will work under the supervision of a senior accountant and management team who will provide you with the support and guidance you need to excel and advance in your career;
You will make a real difference by delivering ground-breaking service to individuals and businesses ensuring they have peace of mind when it comes to compliance and provision for planned or unforeseen events which may affect them.
