We are looking for a Front Desk Supervisor to form part of the team and assist us in providing our guests a world-class luxury experience.

Purpose:

We are seeking an engaging, friendly and detail-oriented Front Desk Supervisor to join our team. This individual will be directly responsible for the front desk and night audit processes, with a focus on guest and associate satisfaction. An ideal candidate will be driven and focused on achieving guest satisfaction and leading and developing our associates.

Responsibilities:

Welcome guests and visitors, record their information and choose a room or rooms for them based on their needs
Perform cashiering tasks such as posting to guest accounts and collecting cash or card payments Collect the guest’s payment using either credit/debits cards, cash or checking account information for rooms and ask for a room deposit when necessary, in line with hotel procedures and policy
Ensure that extra services ordered by the guests, such as alcoholic drinks, entertainment and food, are properly accounted for and charged on the final bill
Communicate with other hotel staff, such as housekeeping or maintenance, when rooms are ready to be cleaned or repaired in preparation for a new guest
Keep the hotel lobby area inviting and clean by vacuuming, dusting, setting up welcome supplies and other various duties
Organises, directs, and monitors daily activities of front desk agents.
Completes and is able to complete all of the duties and responsibilities of the Front Desk Associate.
Ensures efficient, friendly, and professional guest registration, check-out, and telephone service; supervise front guest service agents to ensure that established procedures are followed.
Establishes procedures, prepares and coordinates schedules, and expedites workflow.
Ongoing review of staff to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures
Assists with hiring, training, motivating, and rewarding front desk agents.
Reviews current day’s departures, expected arrivals and checks all VIP and special request reservations to ensure that they are pre-registered, blocked properly, and other departments are notified of room assignments.
Establish and maintain open collaborative relationships with direct reports, and management throughout the hotel
Reviews the daily room availability and informs all appropriate staff.
Reviews status of departures on a daily basis; relays all pertinent information to front desk agents and other appropriate staff.
Performs front desk agent responsibilities as needed to process guests experience expediently including but not limited to checking guests into hotel, responding to guest questions, resolving guest problems/complaints, answering telephone, making guest reservations, and checking guests out of hotel.
Ensures that guests’ needs are fulfilled, and their stay is as pleasurable as possible; assists with dining, entertainment, or transportation reservations as needed.
Knowledge of hotel property, local attractions to assist guests
Assists front desk agents with resolution of guest problems/complaints as needed.
Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of hotel services, facilities, policies, and room rates and area’s attractions.
Monitor budgets and payroll records and review financial transactions to ensure appropriateness
Maintain STRICT key controls
Performs other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements:

Must have one-year supervisory experience at a hotel.
Solid knowledge of PMS Opera
Must be able to effectively lead small teams of associates
Solid knowledge of Microsoft office
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Basic accounting skills
An energetic personality.
Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend and holiday shifts.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Must be able to work in team environment.
Must have excellent interpersonal people and coaching skills.
Must meet grooming standards.
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Experience:

Front Desk Agent/ Receptionist: 2 years (Required)

Education: Diploma (Preferred)
