Our client in the restaurant industry seeks a competent Financial Controller/Accountant to join their successful team for their group of businesses.

Minimum requirements:

Matric/grade 12
Recognised qualification
Strong excel skills
Strong Pastel skills
Strong communication skills

Duties:

Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
Daily reconciliations of bank accounts
Full management of debtors and creditors
Preparation of monthly reports
Preparation and submission of VAT returns and PAYE
Bank and debtor’s reconciliation
Reconciliation of creditors
Cashbook to Trial balance processing, focusing on:
Cashbook Processing (multiple bank accounts)
Prepare weekly cash flow report, actual and forecast.
Capturing Supplier Invoices & Reconciling Supplier accounts
Capturing Customer invoices & Reconciling Customer accounts
Review General Ledger accounts & update Monthly Recons (Excel)
Reconcile Inter Company loan accounts
Process monthly general journals
Produce monthly Trial Balance
Posting cashbooks
Prepare payment batch on online banking
Managing petty cash and weekly petty cash reconciliation
Monthly supplier reconciliation, resolving supplier queries
Scanning or uploading invoices and payments to server
Liaison with the Tax Authorities regarding compliance, refunds etc.
Assist in audits and preparation thereof
Filing office paperwork and any other duties as requested by superiors
Experience in inter-company transactions will be an added advantage
