To provide “Solutioning and Advisory” services to investment clients.

Accountability: Solutioning & Advisory

Support the Relationship Executive in driving business development, achieving investment sales targets and growing the investment book.
Support the Relationship Executive/ Business Banker in selling investment products through providing specialist product input and offering relevant product solutions/alternatives to clients within the statutory and regulatory frameworks.
Visit (potential and or existing) investment clients with the Relationship Executives/ Business Banker in order to conclude the origination of investment product sales and execute prospective sales opportunities.
Monitor the effectiveness of Relationship Executives/Business Bankers in selling investment products and identify gaps.
Continuously share product information with Relationship Executives/Business Bankers to upskill them. Provide advisory services (where necessary) on investment solutioning and risk assessment (i.e. matching the investment product set to the risk profile).
Optimise the profitability and sustainability of a portfolio of investment clients over the long term through innovative solutioning.
Proactively and continuously deliver service excellence to customers.
Provide appropriate quotes to the investment clients on interest rates for the various investment products and optimise client liability pricing, margins, volumes and mix thereof.

Accountability: Marketing

Work with the Relationship Executive/Business Banker to create and maintain an annual client management plan.
Network with prospective investment clients such as external business chambers and forums to generate leads.
Understand investment clients and their business and establish relationships with clients/key role players such as CEO’s, decision-makers, etc.
Continuously collect investment market data and financial trends on all competitor banking products and financial services in order to stay abreast of the investment market and trends.
Accountability: Lead Generation & Lead Management
Obtain and follow-up on leads received from the Relationship Executives through providing investment product solutions.
Identify new leads from marketing and networking opportunities and work with the Relationship Executive to pass on leads obtained and maximise cross selling opportunities
Compile own and combined action plans with the Relationship Executive to achieve set goals and ensure ongoing collaboration and alignment with the Relationship Executive/Business Banker.
Prepare for client visits through booking appointments with (potential/existing) investment clients, preparing and delivering presentations.

Accountability: Administration & Risk Management

Populate Deal Sheets via Orchestrate for: Maturities, New Investments,
Maintenance, Transfers and Rates changes
Obtain Clients acceptance of Quote with the necessary proof
Populate and Maintain Client Detail on Orchestrate
Send confirmation letters to clients when the investment account has been opened.

Accountability: Risk Management

Adhere to all internal audit and SOX compliance requirements through implementing risk policies in tasks e.g. completion of indemnities, procedures, listings, etc

Education and Experience Required

Commercial Degree with majors in Finance, Economics, or Banking / Or an Equivalent NQF 6 Qualification
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Investments/Treasury Environment.
2 – 5 years General Banking experience will be an added advantage
