Job Purpose:

The official will be responsible for managing and ensuring proper management of company firearms in accordance with the Firearm Control Act of 2000. Some of the core responsibilities associated with this post include: maintenance of company firearm register, liaison with SAPS Firearm Unit, ensure safe & secure storage of company firearms, ensure safe and secure transportation of company firearms to and from the regions, issuing of firearms to officials at various offices, renewal of firearm licenses, coordinate training sessions for firearm refresher courses.

Post Requirements:

· All applicants must have at least passed a matric as a minimum requirement.

· Firearm competency certificate issued by accredited service provider.

· The person to be appointed must be fit and have the legal authority to possess at least three different calibres of firearms.

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in the same field of work

· Code 8 valid driver’s licence

· PSIRA registration will be an added advantage though those without PSIRA but meet all other requirements may apply. However, should a person be appointed without PSIRA registration, he or she will be required to get registered with PSIRA within four months of being appointed.

· Computer literacy

· No Criminal Record
